Wellness and Preventive Care Program (WPCP)
For Veteran Families Over 60The Healing Warriors Program Wellness and Preventive Care series will provide assistance to our 60+ veterans and their family members with health and wellness needs to improve their quality of life through non-narcotic health-related strategies.
The Wellness and Preventative Care series is designed to help:
- Improve balance
- Reduce chronic pain and neuropathy
- Enhance focus and awareness
- Enhance quality of life
The Client Care Navigator will provide support connecting veterans with community resources, including other nonprofits, that can assist with current needs.
What’s Included

Acupuncture Sessions
6 Acupuncture Sessions to assist with pain management, neuropathy, improve balance, clarity and general health
CranioSacral Sessions
6 CranioSacral Sessions to promote improved flow of cerebral spinal fluid assisting with mental focus, clarity and general health
Home Care Kit
Home Care kit consisting of pain mgmt tools, guidesheets, fall prevention materials from CDC, home nightlight and other resource materials.
What to Expect
When you arrive for your appointment, your practitioner will do a brief medical history including fall risk checklist review and provide materials for home care.
Your treatment session will include Guided Imagery and other tools. You may fall asleep while receiving care. This is common and your practitioner will awaken you when the session is over. They will review any recommendations for home care before you leave.
Guided Imagery
Belleruth Naparstek’s Guided Imagery is used for mental health wellness and relaxation/sleep support. Healing Warriors Program will provide Guided Imagery for home self care.
Cost
All eligible service members and their spouses/partners receive a grant for the 12-session clinic series at no charge. This grant series is one-time only and not repeatable. Market value for this package is $1,325.
Please note: this program is funded through a Larimer County Office on Aging grant. Program eligibility requires Larimer County residency to qualify.
