Fort Collins, Colorado – April 2, 2018 – Healing Warriors Program is excited to be the recipient of a grant of $24,395 from the Sorenson Legacy Foundation. The generous support from the Sorenson Legacy Foundation will provide over 575 non-narcotic Integrative Care sessions to veterans, active duty military and their families.
A VA registered vendor, Healing Warriors Program provides evidence-based non-narcotic Integrative Care for pain, PTS and sleep. Having delivered over 11,000 sessions at their Ft. Collins location alone, Healing Warriors Program demonstrates a rarely seen dedication and drive to accomplish its mission and sole reason for being: ‘…to advance individual wellbeing for Veterans and their families’.
While the large majority of Healing Warriors Program’s clients are service members, HWP is unique in its recognition of the importance of supporting the entire family unit to achieve even greater and longer lasting results.
“The pressures our military families face while their service member is deployed, and as they welcome them home, touches every aspect of family and community life. By providing care for their spouses, partners and parents, we help support the transition back home for the veteran,” says Healing Warriors Program Executive Director, Ana Yelen.
The Sorenson Legacy Foundation grant provides measurable and much needed support for our Veterans. Healing Warriors Program has experienced so much demand for their services, that they have expanded access across Colorado into Denver, Colorado Springs and Longmont.
