Healing Warriors Program was recently awarded several grants to further support the care of Veterans and their families.
The Veterans Support Foundation awarded $25,000 to Healing Warriors Program to support the care and treatment related to trauma and sleep for female veterans. This grant will enable Healing Warriors Program to provide 6-series care programs for female veterans. These programs will focus on trauma, including PTS and sexual trauma, as well as treatment for sleep disturbances.
The Veterans Support Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit humanitarian and educational organization founded to improve the quality of life for deserving veterans and their families.
The main objectives of the Foundation are:
- To help fund nonprofit organizations in support of veteran-related projects throughout the United States;
- To assist disabled veterans and their qualifying dependents and family members;
- To assist and provide transitional and permanent housing for homeless and at-risk veterans;
- To enrich the lives of all veterans and their families.
The Larimer County Behavioral Health Services Grant Program awarded $40,000 to Healing Warriors Program for COVID-19 Veteran Services Assistance. These funds will be used to improve access to care for veterans and their spouses/partners, including assistance for at-risk clients. Targeting suicide prevention, Healing Warriors Program will provide treatments for PTS, pain, Sleep, and Traumatic Brain injuries. Clients will have access to Healing Warriors Program’s Client Care Navigation to assist with connecting veterans and their families to resources, and wellness check-in calls.
The Elevations Foundation awarded $4,000 to Healing Warriors Program for general operating support to assist with increased expenses related to COVID sanitation and PPE supplies.
