Dear clients and friends,

In compliance with the President’s recommendations for a 15 day closure to flatten the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Healing Warriors Program clinic will be closed until Monday, April 6th.  Our team will be calling our currently scheduled clients to provide assistance and support.  We are monitoring our phone lines, so please do leave a message with any questions or concerns at 970-776-VETS (8387).

Q. This stress is triggering severe anxiety.  What can I do?

A. One of the fastest ways to bring anxiety under control is through the breath.  Dr. Weil’s simple 4-7-8 breathing technique is very fast and very effective at ratcheting down stress.  Give it a try.  It’s fast, easy and free.

Q. The high anxiety is triggering thoughts of suicide.  What can I do?

A. We are fortunate in that there are many great resources to help us through these challenging times.  Among those are:

The Veterans Crisis Line – Call the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, send a text message to 838255, or chat online.

The National Suicide Prevention Line

The Cohen Center  providing telehealth Mental Health options

Q. I was undergoing a care plan with my practitioner at Healing Warriors Program.  What will happen with my treatment plan?

A. We are committed to ensuring that our clients do not lose ground with the progress they have made.  Once we reopen, your practitioner will discuss revisions/extensions of your treatment plan to ensure that you receive the appropriate level of care. We will stand by you.

Q. I have questions and need help, but I am not exactly sure where to find answers.  Can you help?

A. We will be monitoring our phones during standard operating business hours.  Please leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.  Alternatively, please send us an email at and we will contact you.
